Cat Bird?

From ABC's official (and officially lame compared to the abstract mindfuck going on over at bigspaceship1's guerilla spot) Mega Lotto Jackpot website comes the above bone, thrown to us snarling internet Lost dogs just as the show embarks on its 3-week scared-to-compete-with-the-World-Series vacation.

It's a new Dharma logo, but what exactly is it? "Properties" tells us it's a "catbird," but it looks more like a seahorse that met the business end of a sledge-hammer to me.

Further digging yields more bones and leads one here, where we can not only discover such grammatically questionable nonsense Fletch quotes as "the biggest clue of all is that a flute with no holes, is not a flute," we also get a clearer shot of the "Arrow" logo and yet another Dharma symbol...

What is that, a leg?

UPDATE: Mounting evidence points to the "catbird" logo (and the Mega Lotto site in general) being total horseshit, dunno about the "leg" though...

Why is the "I'll buy that for a dollar" guy from Robocop in the images directory? Are you sure this is an official site?

no idea about the "425" guy, but the ABC/Disney "terms of use" button seems to indicate the site is legit.

yeah, but that button is only a link to the disney site that shows a really general terms of use statement.

i'm just trying to say that it's easy to make such a site, make a fake logo and then link it to some general ip-babble-filled website.

now stuff would be totally reversed if the abc site linked to the site instead of the way it is now...

And on the intellectual copyright part of this here: if the site creator made a fake logo, how would abc be able to sue them for plagiarising their logo like how can a fake logo represent represent something that doesn't exist?

Except ofcourse if they copyrighted the term 'dharma'

you're right, of course, it could be fake. the ABC terms + the "invasion" promo seem to indicate it's real, but somebody could be screwing with us. we'll see...

"Tomaire is french for your om-"?
Blogger DVS Methid, at 12:26 AM
it's "TOM AIRE (one of the winners) IS FRENCH FOR YOUR MOM"
don't know that means though...
Blogger jonaspeit, at 6:19 AM
Tom Aire = ta mere

I agree about this site looking like bs, check the source, it's filled with all kinds of crazy crap that doesn't seem like the crazy crap that the normal lost sites have.
